Vanessa Fransen, a junior at North Shore Plaza High School, was recently awarded a 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Award. Fransen entered her artwork last fall into the yearly contest and recently was notified that her digital art, "Saturated Streets" was selected for the Silver Key award.
Her artwork was reviewed and recognized by a panel of creative professionals, and awarded for its outstanding merit in originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice and vision. The Scholastic Art & Writing Award was established in 1923.
