Berthold Public School

The 7th and 8th graders had a project that they did together on the last day of school before Christmas break. Their job was to make a tower as tall as they can with a seat for the Snowman. They only had marshmallows and popsicle sticks. The only tool they could use is a tin snips so they could cut the popsicle sticks easily. They had 6 minutes to plan and 30 minutes to build. The Snowman had to sit for 5 seconds on their tower without falling off. There prize was a treat from Mr. Koronka for the tallest tower and a perch for the snowman. The students had some great ideas with trying to put the tower on somebody's head but that was against the rules. Things got sticky with the marshmallows. 20 cm was our tallest tower. It was only 2 cm taller than the 2nd place finisher. It was a fun holiday competition. Happy Holidays everyone.
