The Sophomore Biology class is studying cellular reproduction specifically mitosis. The students were tasked with taking Oreos, pull and peel Twizzlers , candy sprinkles of different shapes. They had to model the cell cycle. The cell cycle includes interphase, mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase), and cytokinesis. They had to make a drawing based on the Oreos and label the parts of the cell cycle. We will be looking at onion root tip slides to look at the different parts of the cell cycle.
