DNA models

The 7th Graders are currently learning about how DNA is structured. Their task was to create a DNA strand using play dough! The modeled the strand using the double helix shape (also known as the twisted ladder.) They also used different colors to model the four nitrogen bases in a DNA strand, which are adenine, cytosine, thymine, and guanine. These make up the rungs of the "ladder." They did a great job with this and had a lot of fun!
