Berthold Public School

Monday, April 22nd was Earth Day. The 1st and 2nd graders celebrated by learning about an author named Tania Maloney from Australia. Mrs. Jacey Erickson set up a virtual field trip for us and built a Blooket game around Ms. Moloney’s book, Nature Ninja Saves the Natural World. We got to meet the author, learn about writing a book and illustrating it, too. Then we listened to the book as it was read to us via the Smartboard. We had to pay close attention to remember details for the Blooket game which we played with about 70 other students in ND! We learned about some Australian flora and fauna, too. We saw a plant called the Kangaroo Paw and a bee called the Blue Banded Bee along with a Boobook Owl, just to name a few.
