The NSP Girls Basketball Program is sponsoring a Shot Club for all our basketball players boys and girls. We challenge all of our players from K through 12th grade to make 5,000….10,000…. 15,000….or more game like shots this offseason! We want our players to keep track of the shots that they MAKE during the off-season. We want to be SHOT MAKERS not just SHOT TAKERS!

THE TIME IS NOW! It’s the time to get ready for next basketball season by working on your game. The goal of the Shot Club is to develop the confidence you need to succeed in game situations because you put the time in to improve your game. It’s a good idea to establish a practice routine. Record information to track your improvement throughout the offseason. 

RULES-

• Player must make their shots before Nov 1, 2024. 

• Player must keep a log (date & # of shots made) of their shooting workouts and have them signed by a parent/guardian. 

  • A Google form is listed below that can be used as your log just fill it out every day you shoot. 

• You must shoot game shots at game speed. 

WHAT TYPE OF SHOTS SHOULD I TAKE?

• Game Speed Shots

• Age Appropriate Shots

  • K-4th Grade working primarily near the basket and in the paint. 

  • 5th-8th Grade starting near the basket and then working out to a distance where you are still using good shooting form.

  • 9th-12th Grade starting near the basket and working out to the 3 point line. 

• Do free throws count? ABSOLUTELY!

• I have attached both post and guard workouts if you choose. You don’t need to stick to your groups workout. Guards should do post and posts should do guard workouts.

DOES MY PARENT/GUARDIAN HAVE TO WATCH ME?

Absolutely not! Your parent/guardian needs to only verify that to the best of their knowledge you had the time/opportunity to shoot your shots. If they want to help that is great but not required. That being said if your parent/guardian wants to rebound for you he or she may certainly do so.
